No I'm not talking about experimentation or "gay for pay".

I'm talking about, "Gee, I don't think that I want to be hetero anymore."

I have a hard time thinking that this really happens.

I think that either you is or you ain't.

That's why I think that the Fundies are full of shit with their "former gay" bullshit... Just like I know that I'll never wake up one day gay, a gay person will never wake one day knowing he's straight.

1. I know many people who think men have no choice in the
matter, but that women do. These people all are male.

4. Well, I have a couple of thoughts on that...
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 07:48 PM by VelmaD
1) this may be wishful thinking on the guys' part 'cause they really wanta be in a girl-boy-girl sammich.

2) There may be less societal pressure on women to express any bi-curiosity that they may have.

3. Coming out is kinda like turning gay...
I suppose. Like: "I don't want people to think I'm hetero anymore" or something like that. Well... that would be turning *publicaly* gay.

The most rabid gay-bashing fundies, IMO, are closeted.

eventually "relapse". the figure if they aren't having gay sex then they are no longer gay.the bullshit success rates reported by "ex-gay" ministries is very innacurate because they never do followups to check on all the relapses that occur months later .

13. conversation from years ago
with a fundy co-worker (fcw) went something like this:

fcw: being homosexual is a choice. You chose to be queer

me: so are you saying sexual orientation is about making a deliberate choice?

fcw: yes

me: so how old were you when you decided you were straight?

fcs: that's different....blah blah blah

14. But of course they do
Dozens of children turn gay every time a school has one of those days where the kids wear the clothes of the opposite sex.

And thousands of toddlers have turned gay from watching the Teletubbies, Spongebob Squarepants and Bert & Ernie.

Not to mention, how do you think millions of gays/lesbians got their toaster ovens?
