Good to see you back, safe and sound...How was your trip? I was thinking about you last night, and hoping that your dinner was as good as you expected it to be!

was so good that I could actually hear my arteries slamming shut as I ate it.

The only mistake I made was driving home today the long way (6 hours) with Missy's convertible top down, so I'm both sunburned and deaf, on top of being wired up as I always am after a long drive.

But happy to be home...and I got to go somewhere I've never been before on the way home--in case I never told you, going somewhere I've never been before is one of my absolutely favorite things to do.

Today, it was a historic bridge over the Delaware River, way out in the middle of nowhere, built in 1871, and still with a deck of wood planks that goes clunketa clunketa clunketa as you drive across it.

Hey, it doesn't take a lot to make me happy, you know?

Give me a Saturday picnic with Mrs R. and the little guy, a nice day when I can put the convertible top down, walking a tomato in from the garden in August to make a tomato sandwich, a real cold beer on a real hot day, the hit of the first trout of the season on my fishing line, stuff like that, and it's all I need.

Got the big house, got the expensive car, got all that stuff, and it could go away tomorrow, and I wouldn't care...I enjoyed the little stuff back when we were poor, and would enjoy it just as much in a setting of poverty again. Big stuff doesn't matter. Little stuff, and (most important of all) the people you do the little stuff with, are what counts.

Ohhhkay, we're starting to ramble here. Time to hit the rack.

if I had seen the username before I'd have responded to a blank post! Sorry you guys lost, it was a great series. I adore steve nash, he's got a lot of class. the whole team does. congrats on an incredible season and the MVP award for your team and Nash, respectively.
