18. Unfortunately I have to work.

I do the restaurant gig and have already asked for quite a few weekends off. There's no reason why i couldn't drop Chavez off at the station so he can represent. I suggest doing some live band karaoke, it's a real ice breaker.

Drove from CT to Omaha, NE 4 years ago. That's adding the rest of northern Illinois, plus Iowa to your trip. :crazy:

13. That's a short ride

I've done Vermont to California (and California to Vermont) several times, as well as Vermont to Alabama, Vermont to Texas and plenty of shorter trips (Vermont to Virginia, etc.). I love to drive and I'll drive for 12 or 14 hours every day of the trip. Last time, I deliberately took a longer route just to see some different parts of the country. Nothing like a good road trip! :bounce:
