24. Well, my name is Grace. I had a grandmother Esther, a great-
aunt Violet, my mom's cousin is Aloysius (Al-o-wish-us).

The names I would love for my daughters (if I had any) are: Violet or Violetta, Clementine, Olive, Fern, and Ruby. Not that I plan on having three girls but I promise I won't name them Olive, Violet and Ruby or they'll be the Color Sisters. ;)

If I have a son I want to name him Avery.

I realized recently that between Avery, Fern, and Charlotte (the name of my car), I have three characters from Charlotte's Web. I'm not fond of the names Wilbur or Templeton though.

41. On my father's side there's Grandma Hallie and
her husband Okie (yes really, and no he wasn't from OK, so I have no idea why he was named that) who prefered to be called Bill or Curly instead and my aunts Shirley and Barbara (they're nice names, but nobody uses them anymore) and great aunt Martha (my Grandmother had lots of other siblings, but none of thier other names stand out and I don't remember all of them because most of then died many years before I was born.)

On mom's side my Great Grandmother's name was Zilpha, her husband was Angus. You really can't make up names like Zilpha and Angus, so I assume these were traditional family names back in the old country. My Grandmother was Carolyn, another nice name nobody uses anymore, and my Grandfather was Peter (ditto.)

Other than that, most of my family's names are still in use and don't sound especially old fashioned. None of us have really wild names, so they may sound a bit traditionalist to some ears.

I actually like older names like these instead of how people name their kids this days. These names have fond memories attached; many names today simply look like their parents never learned to spell.
