Would you name your child out of a character from a TV show?

1. I'd never do that.

And neither would any of my kids -- Beaver, Scooby Doo, Spock or SpongeBob.

I did name one of my cats after a cartoon character from a movie.:)

3. I too wouldn't name my children after a TV character

but have often used them for my Pets' names.

I did have a cat named Sylvester because he was a long haired black and white.

I also had another cat named Drake named after Drake Hogestyn on Days of Our Lives.


I also had a dog named Riggs after Mel Gibson's character in Lethal Weapon. I confess I love those movies even though I disagree with Mel's off screen stance on just about everything. It is a case where I've chosen to love the character and just divorce him in my mind from the actor who plays him.
