I just found two slabs of marble |
|
buried in my yard.
I'm kinda used to finding bits of plastic dug into the ground (seems the former owner didn't like using the garbage service) but I've never found marble before.

1. Clean it off and SAVE IT |
|
Are they big, or small? If small, they could be markers for the grave of a many years gone, very beloved family pet.... in fact, that is my guess.
But having no idea of your living situation, they could be anything. In any event, if it is good marble, it can be used for any number of purposes!

2. Each piece is about 18" by 30" |

or so, and very thick (inch or so).
They were buried about 6 inches down, and were sitting perfectly horizontal. One has a couple of perfectly round holes in it.
I'm thinking maybe either some really nice stepping stones or small table tops for the garden. I dunno.

Dig them up and use them! :D
Marble makes a nice surface for candymaking.
