BOOM, BOOM! OUT GO THE LIGHTS!
Anyone out there remember the Pat Travers band? They were a late 70's/early 80's hard rock outfit, specializing in funked-up blues riffs. Their only significant radio hit was a live album cover of Little Walter's "Boom, Boom, Out Go The Lights". Pat Travers could really bring it on guitar. Quite a few latter-day players have cited Travers as an influence. Pat's still out there rockin'.

No kiddin'
I'm ready to fight
I've been lookin' for my baby all night
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

I thought I treat my baby fair
Now she's kiddin' all in my hair
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

No kiddin'
I'm ready to go
When I find her boy don't you know
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

I never been so mad before
When I found out she ain't mine no more
If I get her in my sight
Boom boom! out go the lights

that Boom Boom was his only hit ? My personal favorite album---
"Puttin' It Straight". Those were the days when he had Nico McBrain and Mars Cowling playing with him.

3. Wow...back to the days of free form radio.
I also remember his song, "Snortin' Whiskey, Drinkin' Cocaine".

4. Oh yeah, that was a jam, too!
And it also got quite a bit of radio play, as I remember, but not as much as Boom Boom did.

Ol' boy could really bend some strings.

6. Trower was most excellent!
I loved him as well. He often got labeled as a Hendrix knockoff (along with self-confessed Hendrix knockoff Frank Marino), but to my ears he had his own distinctive style.
