Anka was in for an interview and to promote the album. It sounded as bad as Pat Boone's "Metal Mood" album but he claims it's serious and not a goof.

It wasn't actually that bad IMHO, since he changed up the arrangement and did it as a much different sort of song than the original. It might have been bad if he'd tried to sound like Nirvana. So I didn't feel like I was losing my innocence or anything. :-)

I had just taken a sip of wine when my boyfriend turned up the sound and it was everything I could do not to spit it out.
I mentioned Paul Anka's nasty, anti-abortion song and my boyfriend said, "Oh! I never saw it that way." So I sang a bit for him.
