Why Bush fucks up when he talks...

He's trying to sound like a nice guy.

He's way out of his element when he talks in platitudes or has to talk like he has a heart.

When he talks like a cynical asshole, his diction is PERFECT. He's speaking from the heart.

That should tell you a lot.

... Bush Dyslexicon. Miller says much the same thing, but a little differently. He says Bush sounds a drunken uneducated pervert when he doesn't care about the subject of his speech. When he's talking about things that are important to him, as you say, his diction is good, his delivery is good and everything clicks. Talking about war, killing, vengeance, being the boss--all good. Talking about feeding one's family, enough for education, aid for the poor--can't get a sentence out that makes a bit of friggin' sense.

it's ridiculously laughable. That's when you get the "I know how hard it is to put food on your family" stuff. Because Bush has NO FUCKING CLUE whatsoever what ordinary, worklng class Americans go through...working hard trying to make that mortgage payment, making ends meet. Bush knows nothing...zero, zip, zilch...about it. He's only known wealth and privlege. People laughed at Bill Clinton...the "I feel your pain" thing...but, goddammit, Clinton was GOOD at it. Because he KNEW what it was like born to working class parents. Hell, that was all he knew.

Now, when it comes to retribution and revenge...that Bush knows very well. He's a mean, vindictive man. Then...then...the diction is pitch perfect.
