3. I went to college at SUNY Fredonia in western NY
Supposedly, the Marx Brothers took the name Freedonia from that town. I heard they were performing there and were pretty much booed off the stage, and that is why they used the name.

I had a Fredonia State sticker on my car and this biker pulls up next to me and I think, "Oh shit, what did I do to piss this guy off.?"
The biker says, "That is the funniest bumper sticker I have ever seen. Fredonia State -- from the Marx Brothers movie?"

I told him, "Nope...there actually is a Fredonia, NY."

He says, "You're shittin' me...well, its funny anyway!" and off he went.

Hail Fredonia!
