So, how's the new Black Eyed Peas CD?

1. This is a bit off-topic.

But what's with radio stations playing a version of "Don't Phunk with My Heart" that replaces "Phunk" with "Mess"???? Since when has a word been obscene because it sounds like another word??

I'm so damn sick of this puritanical worldview I could throw-up.

3. Well, "Let's Get It Started" wasn't the original title, either.

That Elephunk track started out with a different title.

Hm. I just remembered that Extreme's "Get the Funk Out" didn't get bowdlerized for radio way back in about 1992.

Sounds kind of....eh.

I too would be interested in hearing from someone who has the cd, because I used to think their sound was unique. But now I'm kind of afraid, after hearing the new single "Don't Phunk With My Heart" or whatever.

Plus, the word and cutesy usage of "phunk" gets on my nerves.

Rap, funk, folk, pop....

I was glad to hear the Indian-ish vocal bits in the new single.

Yeah, I really do like that track, Netflix doesn't carry the film but I'll keep an eye out for it. She's got a great voice.

but the Black Eyed Peas are nothing but a bunch of sharks. hacks. rip-offs.

a friend of a local Milwaukee band was at one point the drummer for the black eyed peas and passed on some songs to the BEP in hopes that they would like it and bring said milwaukee band along with em in their rise to fame.

the dude left the BEP shortly thereafter, and when Elephunk came out, they had stolen a lot of the ideas for their songs from said Milwaukee local band.

in short, the BEP suck righteously.
