we were managing to keep the house cool by staying on top of opening windows, closing blinds against the sun, and using fans.

it's really just getting used to hot stuffy cars, humidity, all the stuff that comes with heat. takes my body (and mind) some time to adjust.

Not to dismiss your pain as not being legitimate, but there are few of us to whom this hasn't happened.

Just part of life. Time is the only thing that will make it not hurt. Though a half-dozen Margaritas in your local bar would speed the process.

you should look for some professional help.

There's no shame in going to see a shrink if your brain hurts...would you hesitate to see an orthopedic surgeon if your knee hurt? I bet you wouldn't.

I said that a situation like yours happens to many of us, and it does. But if the misery lingers, call in the cavalry.

58. Our elements are burned out, our beasts have been mistreated
Our instruments have no way of measuring this feeling
Can never cut below the floor, or penetrate the ceiling.
In the space between our houses, some bones have been discovered,
But our procession lurches on, as if we had recovered.

Draconian winter unforetold.
One solar day, suddenly you’re old.
Your little envelope just makes me cold,
Makes destination start to unfold.

Our documents are useless, or forged beyond believing.
Page forty-seven is unsigned, I need it by this evening.
In the space between our cities, a storm is slowly forming.
Something eating up our days, I feel it every morning.
Destination, destination.

It’s not a religion, it’s just a technique.
It’s just a way of making you speak.
Distance and speed have left us too weak,
And destination looks kind of bleak.

Our elements are burned out, our beasts have been mistreated.
I tell you it’s the only way we’ll get this road completed.
In the space between our bodies, the air has grown small fingers.
Just one caress, you’re powerless, like all those clapped-out swingers.
Destination, destination.

68. I'm worried
I'm hesitant of...loving someone again.
Someone tells me beautiful, I don't believe it because I've been told that before and later learned it was a lie.
I'm scared of this. The person who is saying it is sincere, but I'm afraid of being lied to again...

72. I've been haveing an awful lot of blessings come my way for the past
few days that I've actually noticed them!

Offers to repay loans.
Offers to buy lunch/breakfast, or to come to dinner, etc.
People being really nice to me.
Got back into some regular exercise after having a minor heart attack and am now healthier than ever since my 20's - great blood pressure and heart rate and recovery rates.
I'm really happy.
An almost cancer spot noticed by my regular doc on my leg turning out to be "old age" by a dermatology specialist.
Old friends dropping by/writing after long absenses.
Family visiting - really good visits.
Flames rekindled with my partner.
Project successfully completed - and then profusely thanked by my bosses in front of everyone.

I could go on.

This had been going on since the end of last month or earlier.

I don't want it to end!

I wish the same for everyone!

89. I am unemployed.
This month makes 2 years! It is very humiliating. After 400+ applications, and a handful of interviews, I feel worthless. I have 10 years experience in my field, a master's degree I am still paying for (well, on deferment, again!), and my partner has to pay for everything (not that he cares).

On the positive side, I have a partner that loves me very much and makes me feel like I hung the moon and set the stars. It's his love that helps me overcome the rest of the shit that has become my life! :)

109. By the refs, or by the fact that our shooting was so cold?
If it's just the shooting, we'll overcome that - every team has a bad game now and then. If the refs are going to continue as they did, then it's worrisome. San Antonio played Seattle and IMHO, got away with murder, and it looks as if it's going to continue.

web-based data entry software is not consistent; some light years stupider than it needs to be. one firm i input data for & the stuff goes straight through no problem. another outfit & the stuff hangs there in mid air cycling, or is dumped & i have to re-submit over & over till it goes through; or get hubby to hack around it to have the data posted on deadline before payment dispersal = wtf!!

it's whack, homey :silly:

why can't firms that are already making shit piles of money hand-over-fist, do a little simple research and get it right the 1st time :eyes:

anything. Yesterday was awful weather, not really stormy, just overcast and gray and gloomy. Humidity high, winds so-so.

She just put a huge damper on yesterday. Today is gorgeous and I have to go clean up where the tide brought trash in the yard. (God's throw up, he rejects the trash that others throw out in the bay. I have to clean it up!)

130. Well, lets see
In a short while I have to medicate, shower, groom, diaper, and dress four recalcitrant profoundly developmentally disabled adults (while getting smacked periodically througout). Then I have to cook and serve their breakfast, clean up piles of puke, wash the dishes, change wet/messy diapers and do a bunch of paperwork. All by myself.

Then I get to do the cooking/serving/cleaning puke/washing dishes thing again at lunch time, followed by more diaper changing. All for less than $10/hr.

About 10 months into my marriage, I had to go to a conference in Chicago. I had been there for a few hours, and was chilling out in my hotel room when I got a very staticky phone call from progdad. He was calling from a rest stop along the highway. Apparently he had just seen a quote from Paul McCartney about how he and Linda hadn't spent a night apart for their entire marriage. progdad said: "If Paul can make it all those years, then dammit - we're going to at least be able to make it through one year of marriage without being apart for a night!" The silly fool drove all the way to Chicago to be with me.
