So whose pets have pets of their own?
When I was in college, we adopted a stray cat we named Nietzche (I have no idea why, it was probably a combination of pretention and marijuana). Nietzche came and went pretty much at will, but he was always there near sunset, ready for a meal. Occasionally, Nietzche would bring a friend, a small, white short-haired cat who was missing part of an ear and had a kink in her tail. Nietzche would stand on the step waiting for you to invite his friend in, too, and he wouldn't come in until you invited her. We named this white cat Sparkles (this was due to the combination of LSD and mushrooms). Nietzche wouldn't eat until you put food out for Sparkles, too, and Sparkles wouldn't eat until Nietzche was eating. Sparkles never stayed the night, she just came for dinner, but when it rained hard, sometimes she would sleep on the porch.

1. My dog is "owned" by my cat.
See who is sleeping on the dog's bed and who is onthe floor next to it.

When she lets him on his bed, she lays all over him.

2. my parrot has two parakeets who keep her company during
the day while we are away. Also the rabbit hops in and they all stay in the same room together during the day. More of a family situation I guess rather than a pet one.
