5. It's pretty ridiculous, isn't it?
I don't know how people with suit and tie jobs are handling this, it's really over the top today.

10. If it's 9 billion degrees outside, then it's 10 billion degrees
inside my condo. With 500% humidity. Yes my A/C is broken AGAIN. I've lived here for almost six years and I've had my HVAC repaired probably 10 times.

12. I only have a AC unit in my bedroom
And one in the studio downstairs. I'm at work right now and it has AC, but I am not looking forward to going home. I might climb into the freezer.

15. Our condo unit is on the first floor. So we can't keep
any windows open during the day and can only keep a couple open at night, not that our neighborhood is super dangerous but there is a fair amount of crime in Chicago. So we would die a slow and painful death without central AC, which is exactly what we're doing.

My last apartment only had a window unit but it was on the third floor so at least I could keep air flowing. Still those really hot days it's just killer. I lived in that apartment the summer when 700 people died in Chicago because of the heat. Nothing helps much when it's 106 degrees and extremely humid. I took a lot of cool baths. I even bathed my cats and they didn't mind.

14. It's 90
With 53% humidity. That's hot in Cleveland. We had two feet of snow about 2 months ago.

17. Ugh...
I hate when your skin feels sticky the minute you walk out the door... I was hoping you wouldn't have it so bad up there... hope the wind comes back!

:hi:
