2. Nothing terribly special - a quick jolly to Italy.
A few days in Venice; followed by about a week in Tuscany, close to Florence but in the countryside. :D

Do you and Doug (have I remembered the name, I'm terrible at names?)have plans?

3. No...not really.
Yes, you remembered the name (thank you).

Not any special plans. Just being together when we can. :-)

Enjoy your trip to Venice and Tuscany. That sounds wonderful, tjwmason. :-)

22. Remember that I'm already in Europe
The distance from here to Venice is about the same as that from you in San Antonio to Des Moines.

Granted Venice is not quite the same as Des Moines, I do know that I'm very lucky to be going.

4. To do something new every weekend.
Discover a new park, play a new sport, cook a new food or eat at a new restaurant, meet someone new, etc.

I've already taken my vacation so this should keep the summer interesting.

I'm also taking painting classes. That's fun to do outside.

21. I spent my honeymoon with my husband's best friend
We went skiing in Tahoe. A bunch of friends had flown out to join us. My husband can do the double black diamonds. I spontaneously fall down on flat, dry surfaces. I spent the week on the bunny slopes (or in the bar) with his best friend from Puerto Rico. Oddly enough, he wasn't a skier either. I actually had a great time.

:-)

13. My SO and I are going to take a week off in August
and move out of this dump! I am so sick of this neighborhood, and the people renovating the house next door, and of people around here in general. I can't wait.

16. No.
My SO, who I would go on vacation with, is currently on an 18-day cross-country road trip with his dad & brother. So, all of his vacation days will be spent ... no time for me. He's promised to take me to Costa Rica in the Fall, though. So I'm not complaining. :)

There are several trips I'd like to make, but funds and time off will limit me somewhat.

28. A couple of small trips, nothing major.
Edited on Fri Jun-10-05 07:23 PM by EOO
I plan on going to Denver in September, Chicago in August for a family function, and I might hit Boston and/or Florida if I can find cheap plane fares and hotels.

edit: If I could budget it right, I'd go to Tokyo. Korean Air has $800 plane fares going out of LAX.

29. DragonCon
Every Labor Day weekend.

With three dogs and five cats, we find it tough to get away. We can manage four nights downtown, though, and we have out-of-state friends who also make the pilgrimage.
