Did Anyone See Hells Kitchen ? |

What a great show, that English chef Gordon Ramsay is a real asshole. I predict someone punches him in the face very soon, he is worse then Simon from American Idol. One woman on the show called him the Devil, lol.
He told a woman guest who complained about the 2 hour wait for food to fuck off. He also called her and her friend a bimbo, and he told them to fuck off and go get some more plastic surgery. One guy waited so long for food he ordered a pizza to be delevered to the restaurant, lol.
I love this show, I dont know why, but it was great.

1. It's different but I think it will get old fast |

I have trained dozens of people to cook and none of it involved screaming, cursing or pushing plates of food into people's chests. But I gather actually getting them up to speed and able to produce great food is not stuff this show will be made of.
I worry (although not too much) that with all these shows where the boss is an egotistical asshole, people will increasingly come to believe that yelling and firing people is a great management style.
The woman in episode 1 made a crappy plate of risotto. rather than discussing with her what went wrong, Ramsay simply plays with the food, mocks her, screams obscenities and then tells her to do it again. In my experience that generally would get you another crappy plate of risotto in about 20 minutes time. What a waste.

I'm also watching the reality show on Food Network... it isn't as dramatic, but it's still interesting. :)

I have enough anxiety in my life, I don't need to see it inflicted on other people. The guy is an ass, why give him any attention when there is so many better things to do with your time.

7. I saw the original in England last year... |
|
Where they had various English celebrities working in the kitchen with him. It was hilarious.
The best one was Edwina Currie. She was the Member of Parliament who had the affair with John Major. She didn't care what she said!
I had to call my friend when I got home to find out who won.
