OH, do I have some good news!!!!!! Power to the People...........
Some may remember that I have often posted about my horrible boss who pays me as an independent contractor, even though I'm not, and that I'm going into debt because of it and he's a racist, bigoted, republican Fuck-Tard (also a so called "Christian") who I've been trying to get to pay these taxes, etc. He got a tax refund (that's why he loves shrub)blah, blah, blah.
I was asked to let everyone know how it turned out-so here it is:
He told me after I had asked him to pay the taxes, make me an "employee" and give me a cost of living raise that I would get a huge salary cut or I could leave. Well...I had to leave, naturally. AND-he wanted me to sign an agreement that said I will not report him to any agency (IRS-Unemployment Security)and THEN he would give me a good reference!!!!! So....
I was supposed to report to work on Monday to train my replacement. Instead I showed up with about $9,000 in a detailed list of compensation that I wanted in order to NOT go to the IRS. This is not blackmail...it's what he owes me for taxes-my last week's work, and my quarterly bonus that he was refusing to pay. I didn't budge on a thing and he made me 3 counter offers before I could leave the office. Today is Friday and let's just say that with my replacement dead in the water from lack of training and the threat of IRS audits, etc...he's come around to MY way of thinking. I fought him and WON!!!! After working for this bastard for 28 months and running his business for him while he renovated one of his 3 homes and drove around in a Jag saying he couldn't afford to pay me and give me benefits! The bastid is gonna pay me! and sign MY agreement! Now THAT is progress!!!!!:bounce:

1. So far, so good
Don't celebrate until (1) his check has cleared, and (2) you're holding that letter in your hot little hands.

Good luck.

8. Thanks! That's why I posted. I want others to know the IRS is on their
side. No cost to file form SS-8 and no representation needed to collect. At first he told me I'd have to pay lawyers, but it isn't true! One has to be secure first. My boyfriend has some money saved to support us-I was going insane working for this asshole. Further in debt EVERY day! I'm free (and jobless) But things always work out and I did it. I stood up to him for the first time!:D

11. He is truly a sociopath. Cares for nothing but money. He has no
friends in the world. Just business relationships. He's a pitiful mess, but rich as hell and cheats everyone he encounters in a financial transaction.

7. You do know that you get a portion of any money the IRS collects
for tax fraud that you report to them. Just thought I'd mention it.

But use your best judgment.
