32. Easy yet difficult
Only really 5 notes to learn (4 of which are the same one), but you've got to create your own lyrics.

6. I have only done Karaoke when with Asian friends (I am white)
This is one song I usually do:

Hey…do it now…yeah hey

Yeah, once I was a boogie singer…playin' in a rock & roll band
I never had no problems, yeah…burnin' down the one night stands
And everything around me, yeah…got to start to feelin' so low
And I decided quickly …to disco down and check out the show

Yeah, they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die…
(hey,hey) till you die…yeah, yeah

Well, I tried to understand this…Yeah, huh, I thought that they were out of their minds
How could I be so foolish, …tonight's the hours, the one behind
So still I kept on fightin'…Wow, loosin' every step of the way (Yeah, what'd you do?)
I said, "I must go back there"…and check to see if things still the same

Yeah, they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die…
Till you die…(Yeah) Wow, till you die

(Come on…Play some electrified funky music)

Now first it wasn't easy…changin' rock & roll and minds
And things were getting shaky…I thought I'd have to leave it behind
Oh, but now its so much better …I'm funkin out in ev-er-y way
But-I'll never lose that feelin' …Of how I learned my lesson that day

When they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die…
Till you die…oh, till you die

(They shouted, Play that funky music) Play that funky music
(Play that funky music) Got to keep on…Play that funky music
(Play that funky music) Pl--AY that funky music
(Play that funky music) Wanna take ya higha now…

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right, yeah

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right

Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right, yeah

I'm surprised I know the background so well for never actually haveing seen the musical.

I just liked the song when it first appeared on MTV back in the 80's and I researched it a bit then. :)

35. NEVER performed in public - but occasionally Abba
'Knowing me, knowing you' probably tops the list.

My voice isn't too bad, but I'm more used to singing classical and don't really make a very good transition across.

39. When I'm in Japan, "Namida no Sanbashi"
"Wharf of Tears."

Doko e yuku to mo
iwanaide
Yoake ano hito
Fune no ue.
Ame no dekki ni
Me o korashite mo
Afureru namida de
Nani mo mienai...

"Without saying where he's going, he is on a ship at dawn. Even though I strain my eyes, I can't see anything on the rain-covered deck, due to the tears overflowing from my eyes."

It was a hit for Masako Mori in 1977, and it was covered by Nobue Matsubara in the 1980s.

Japanese people are usually astonished that I know it. :-)

40. I can do a great Jimmy Buffet!
The bar where I hang out at USED to have karaoke (they did away with it because as Moe said, people drink less when they're having fun), which sucks ass.

But I'm most known for my renditions of Margartiaville and Why Dont We Get Drunk And Screw.
