So we recently purchased a 44 inch wide screen and enjoy it quite a bit.
Anyway, the crux of the situation is this. It seems when my wife is watching anntenae(while TIVO'ing) the sound will sometimes pop, and drop out and then slowly build back up.
Secondly, when we turn our TV on, it will warm up and about 15 seconds into it's warm up, it will make a slight buzz sound.
I talked to a person at the store where I purchased because we had an issue with someone who was supposed to come out to take a look at it.
Thirdly, the lower register channels(anntenae) are somewhat fuzzy, nothing radical, but definately noticeable.
Anyway, he(store guy) asked me how many components do we have going in. We have 4, TIVO, All-In-ONe Home Theatre/DVD player, cable box and VCR.
Now we managed to get everything hooked up and it all works the way we want, we can record on TIVO while watching basic cable, as well as conduct other functions. Anyway this store guy said that we might need a Power Center type power bar($300+) because they regulate all the power so that all components are getting equal power and we're not losing any signal strength.
This is the item is was referring to
Monster Power Centre We've also had the cable guy out and he said we did have some weak signals coming in from the pole and that someone would come out to correct that problem which should also correct our fuzzy signal.
Having said all that, would this "
Monster Power Centre" be a decent investment into cleaning up picture and audio quality along with the cable signal boost?
The store is somewhat embarrassed by the way I was treated earlier today, and when I also told him no one mentioned anything about these Power Centre's in order to regualate signal strength and power to components equally when we bought the TV intially we could get a significant price cut.
Thoughts,comments please?
