It will run twice. Here in central time, it runs at 7 and again at 9.
Interesting so far.

I knew that the guy who played Jacob's brother who gets drunk in St. Louis looked familiar, but I didn't realize until I IMDBed him that he's Steve the Pirate!! You know, from Dodgeball.

another Indian movie where the Indian guy gets tragically but inevitably killed and the Indian woman can only find true love in the arms of a white man...
I'd rather gargle with battery acid...
someone page tarzan...

8. Saw the previews and read the reviews. |

I'm still undecided.
Simon Wincer directed one of the episodes, and of course he was also the director of Lonesome Dove, which I loved.

No Western-themed programming can possibly beat Deadwood*, which makes Into the West look cute and fuzzy. But they haven't made any major historical inaccuracies yet, and the Native Americans appear to be played by real Native Americans, so I'm not disappointed. It's pretty well-done and the dialogue isn't too bad, but it's kind of predictable.
*Deadwood, if you haven't watched it on HBO, is brilliant, but extremly graphic and very un-PC. But hey, they tell it like it is.

and I loved it. I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes as well.
I'm sure they will have it out on DVD eventually.
PS, they will re-air tonight's episode on saturday and sunday.
