Did I just book a hotel in the ghetto?
I just booked my hotel in NYC - anyone from around there, is this an ok area?

It's Mount Royal Hotel
315 W 95th St, New York, NY 10025

sorry to keep asking this stuff but DU'ers know everything :P

btw, to "whatelseisnew" - thanks for the hostel idea, that's what i'm doing for the Washington D.C. show :)

5. It's an excellent neighborhood
I should know, since I live in it. But seriously, you have nothing to be concerned about. It's one of the best neighborhoods in the city.

14. My old stompin' grounds! I lived at 92nd & WEA from 77-89.
I'm sure that particular hotel has gentrified into something quite acceptable...or maybe not. Unless I'm mistaken, it should be between either B'way and West End or West End and Riverside Drive. Your only major problem is that the Henry Hudson Pkwy exits onto 95th heading East.
