Just got back from Stevie Nicks and Don Henley concert
Jones Beach, NY. WOW, WOW AND WOW. Oh, and Wow:hippie: :bounce:
They went solo and together. Some highlights were of Henley alone were: Dirty Laundry, Boys of Summer and End Of Innocence..oh and a note from him politically on End of Innocence, he changed the lyrics in one verse that said, and the lawyers dwell on their defense as Cheney tells his lies.....

YAY!! I got up and screamed YAH.... woohoo...!!!

some of the Henley duets were Hotel California and New York Minute (which was RICH, and not short of stunning)..

Stevie Nick's solo highlights were a rendition of Rhiannon that topped everyone I've heard before, but one. Truly, one of her greatest with a piano solo that would've dropped your jaw, to begin it, and into a faster ending, doubling the beat, hard and concise. Incredible. She dropped down a backdrop of an old black and white video about five minutes long of Beauty and the Beast, and she sang her song, Beauty and the Beast.. It was art, I tell you... I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

She and Henley sang a Bonnie Raitt song The Circle Dance.. simply gorgeous melody and the harmonies were flawless..

They sang Gold Dust Women, together and encored with Leather and Lace.

I have to say, there were some songs, after all these years, so overplayed for many of those years, that I didn't hear them for a while. They made me fall in love with everyone of these songs again.

They have only grown in these years, getting stronger and more unimaginably talented than you would EVER imagine.

I had a great time, can you tell? I hope you enjoyed my "happy rant".. I haven't had many of these, so it's rare I tell ya.

Oh, and YIPPIE!!!!!

1. I saw Don a couple years back when he was on his "Inside Job"
tour. It was great show and he was right on the money. His opening act at the time was Jill Solbule (I Kissed a Girl) who was fabulous and quirky as hell. I have never seen Stevie solo though I did see her years ago with Fleetwood Mac.

6. Henley's been a fav. of mine for so long...
He did a beautiful job. I'd see him again in a New York Minute. OK, that was corny, I'm just still giddy I guess.:eyes:

9. Yeah... they were so close, I ALMOST
thought they were involved. Then again, old friends can just hug...

They actually held each other and slow danced for more than a short bit, while the instrumentals were going on. It was really nice, they looked like they had A LOT of fun too!

5. The Eagles are touring this fall
They're coming to my town in September.

I saw them two years ago so I'm not sure if I'm going again.

Saw Fleetwood Mac last year. Was one of the best concerts I've gone to (and I've gone to a whole lot).

10. I never saw the Eagles, I think I like twenty times more songs
of Henley's solo music than the Eagles music anyway.

Gotta go see Stevie. It's an experience. Make sure you get good seats, so you can see her mystical twirling on the stage, really adds effect!
