Ok here are some pics a coworker and I took at work tonight.
the first one is a pic of the hallway where the video I describe in this thread.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x3431282#3431315

The first pic is the hallway with the flash.

This is without the flash and after the video was taken with the noise on the roof. I had the camera on a tripod, and it turned out blurry.

This last one is taken a few seconds after the blurry one.

1. What are we looking for here?
Nothing looks out of the ordinary to me.

2. We just found the thing to the right of the exit sign in the middle pic...
interesting. there is really nothing there to cause what looks like a smoke effect. and it looks to cover a corner of the exit.

I see something, but some people may not. and there was nothing that could cause the camera to blur. I don't know, we have just had unexplainable things happen and other people have added stuff they have experienced, so we got curious and decided tonight would be the best night to see.

10. I see no figure or chair...
...and nothing to the right of the exit sign in the middle (or last) picture, even after image enhancement.

The camera moved in the second photo; this is apparent from the way all the light sources curve in the same little arc. The last picture is clearer, apparently because the camera didn't move as much.

The nearer end of the hall seems to be more in focus in the first picture. Your camera's auto-focus has a limited range, which would blur things down the hall.

3. I think I know what you see here
1) You're seeing a figure in the doorway?

3) And again above the chair?

Well, it's definitely one of two choices. It's either ghosts

or

not ghosts

it could also be burns on your sensor

5. The thing at the end of the hall is an over head projector.
I only see on thing and that is in the middle pic. The camera blurred on that shot, for no reason and that thing just to the right of the bright spot in the middle was not there. The last shot is just a reference that it was not there a few seconds later and the camera is not blurred.

7. Cameras on tripods in low light conditions will
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 06:45 AM by RC
still blur the picture because of the way the shutter release is pushed
People think that because a cameras is on a tripod that the camera can't move. Not true. Also people tend to treat the shutter release the same as a door bell button. It should be treated more as a trigger. One should still hold the camera the same as if it were not attached to a tripod for low light subjects. Just pushing down of the shutter button will cause the camera to move a bit even with a good tripod.

These pictures were taken with a NIKON Model E3200.
The shutter speed 1 1/2 seconds.
The Scene Mode of Night portrait forces a slow shutter speed even with a flash.

So what are you trying to show?

Edit: The pictures are not in sharp focus at least in part because a portrait mode was used. The end of the hallway is past the normal portrait range.

8. Sorry, I honestly don't see anything.
What looks like a blob on the ceiling in the
second pix... Is a reflection of the ceiling
fixtures in the third pix.

Keep trying tho...

9. I work in a haunted building
in the historic district of Annapolis---the law office I work for is in a 145 year old house that is haunted by at least the ghost of a woman (one person has seen her---an electrician). But she has made noises, rearranged stuff, people in the building at night have heard voices---I felt a cold wind blow thru me once out of nowhere. She hasn't been active lately, but a few years ago there was a lot of stuff going on.

11. Oh this one is very active.
It is more active when there are only a few people in the building. It likes to make noises, open and close drawers and shuffle papers. It likes to type on keyboards and slam doors. It also likes to pace behind people and walk the halls. When it walks the halls it has a set of keys like they are on a belt and they jingle.

I see the figure of a man with a hat on. I have been around a long time and I believe in ghosts.
