Paramounts Kings Island is a good place. Cost about $45 a person but packed with fun.

2. Is it like an amusement park, for kids? |
|
Have you been to the aquarium or zoo? I googled and saw that the city had both.

7. I live a few hours away. |

Yes they have both. The aquarium is most awesome IMO. Kings Island is for both kids and adults. Something for everyone.

King's Island does have a kid's section, also across the street from it is the Beach Water Park. Across the Ohio river, from downtown Cincinnati is Newport on the levee. Newport Aquarium is located there and also a 3-D Imax theater. Downtown Cincinnati also has a Museum Complex at Union Terminal. It contains a pretty good Natural History Museum, it evens has a artificial cave in it, with live bats. The National Freedom Center is also in Cincinnati.

6. The museums at the Cincinnati Union Terminal |
|
"Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal is home to the Cincinnati History Museum, Cinergy Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science, the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater, and the Cincinnati Historical Society Library.
It is a nationally recognized educational and research resource and one of the top cultural attractions in the Midwest. More than one million people visit annually, reaching out to almost 200,000 young people through hands-on exhibits and programming.
As a center for the entire community, more than 700 events are held in the building each year. Originally built in 1933 as the Union Terminal train station, the building is a national historic landmark and was renovated and re-opened as Cincinnati Museum Center in 1990."http://www.cincymuseum.org/cmc/information/aboutus.html

8. Yes, that's the best attraction I found |
|
They had a good guided tour then I spent hours walking thru the museum. Very interesting exhibits.
Otherwise, I remember checking out the campuses of Cincinnati and Xavier universities, not too far apart on the major north/south freeway. Also the new stadiums on the northern edge of the river.
