I've tried holding my breath, drinking water. Still got them.


Someone scare me.

3. Try drinking a pint of water, all at once, while holding your breath
...and then breathe fast afterward. It will give your lungs the air you need to cure them. It always works for me. :)

6. a spoonful of sugar works for my kids
I always give them one spoon of sugar (small) and their hiccups go away.
My husband suggested it and i didn't believe it - didn't want to give the kids a spoon of sugar - but I tried it and it worked for me too.

10. I actually saw Will Pitt cure himself once...
as I recall it involved taking a nice long stretch of your diaphragm. You might pm him and ask exactly how he did it.

12. I learn this from a yogi
and used with elementary students and it has never failed

1. sit in a chair, like a dining room table chair with your back as straight as possible

2. look to the ceiling and open your mouth as wide as possible

3. breath deeply and slowly

4. for 45-60 seconds

5. you cannot hiccup in this position and the muscle infecting the spasm will relax
