27. I think that is Thomas's feet in the group shot. He is the old cat
and the other four are littermates. Sadly, Miss MOo left us for greener pastures, possibly with no big mean brothers. Despite our best efforts to love her to death and the mammoth crush she had on Thomas, she just got fed up with her brothers playing too rough with her and began staying away for longer and longer periods of time, until she just did not come home.

I am hoping she adopted a new family who wanted a sweet little kitty. Her mother did the same thing when the kittens did not leave home. strange.

However, the two grays and the black are still with us, and not going anywhere. Thomas is 12; the others are two years old.

ANd yes they do sleep beautifully, don't they.

That is so frickin' cute, I can't stand it. Your upper three cats could be my group of three, especially if the second tabby (Catzilla) were a bit more brown. Otherwise, it's like looking at a photo of my own (not that they would cuddle up like this). Adorable! Thanks! P.S. Thomas is adorable as well.

28. Thank you!
actually, they are both cocker spaniels that I adopted from Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Houston, Texas. Libby is a normal size, while Emma is kinda petite. She is much smaller than most cockers, and she is chocolate and white, which is an unusual color combination. They are both parti variety cockers. Libby loves to sing to opera music, and Emma loves tomatoes and her Daddy.

How old is Jake? He has gorgeous coloring and a very sweet face!

A stable I ride at down here has a Lippizzaner that was "liberated" from the local Medieval Times attraction (the stable owner found out that he was being abused, and told MT that if they gave him the horse and fired the trainer he wouldn't go to the press and PETA). That animal has the most amazing gait! Even his trot is downright comfy. Someday.... *sigh*

I can't believe I'm posting in such a gloopy, sentimental way, especially on DU, but there's something about my big Rabbit Queen that brings it out in me. She's huge (about 15 pounds) and bossy and I love her dearly.

Here are our bunnies, past and present:

Muffin the Wise, (BIG mini-lop; he weighed 11 lb.) 1991-1996:

He was a true gentle giant.

Mimi the Feisty mini-lop (Muffy's sexy girlfriend), 1992-2001:

That's her in my avatar, too!

Ferdinand the Aristocrat (pedigreed French Lop), 1996-2004:

He was a big mushball--classic Frenchie!

And Violet the SPCA rescue, who just turned four:

Violet again--and I swear this is not posed!

"I just ate this chair! Ask me anything!"

They were and are precious, wonderful beings! :loveya:

My two dogs have two Malinois buddies that they love running around with in the open space behind our house. It's really something to see them all chase each other.

104. Thanks
I love this breed. She's our second. We get them from the breeder and they are free. She's worth thousands but sometimes the breeder will find that some of these dogs just don't have what it takes to do the work (they are basically work dogs; not pets). However, when one acts more like a pet than a work dog, she will give us a call. The first one we had was all work. She was not a pet at all. I wouldn't even have kept her around kids. She was all guard dog and very high maintenance, but she had broke her back so she could no longer do the work. She died two years ago.

110. My dogs cannot be around kids at all
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 09:03 AM by livetohike
We don't have any kids and none of our friends have young children. Cindy is a sweetheart around kids (unless they run around). Murphy cannot be around kids period. I can't even let a kid pet him when he is on a leash. He doesn't like sudden movements, or strangers. But those people he does like get licked to death. Go figure .

Edited for: lousy grammar and even worse spelling

109. We think she is at least part Catahoula Leopard
We got her at a shelter in Los Angeles two years ago. She was eight weeks old. Her paperwork said Australian Shepherd Mix. We took her to our vet, who was from Louisiana. She thought Cindy looked like a Catahoula Leopard. I had never heard of them before. She has a great disposition and herding instincts. Really a sweetie. She weighs 86 lbs. Too big for a standard Catahoula Leopard.

The picture was on the Wild Horse Trail which is near Temecula, CA just north of us. One of my favorite trails. Cindy loves to jump up on boulders, so this was just good timing on my part.

The little guy, Murphy is part ACD (another shelter puppy we brought home two years ago). He's something else. Since they are both cattle dog breeds, they love chasing anything. That's what is so funny about seeing them with the Malinois (Mickey and Star).

I always thought mine were a little strange because the slept together like that but seems everybody here who has one of each has a pic of them cuddling like this. This is too cute. (But I must say, I'm not sure your cat's lovin' it. :))
