I don't wish resume writing upon my worst enemy. |
|
As some of you may know, I'm not too content with my current job situation, so I decided it's time to move on. Problem is, I can't think of anything more torturous than fixing up my resume. Can't I just write "give me a job" on a piece of paper and let it be at that?

I cannot stand resume writing. I hate the whole interview "selling yourself" process. It all seems so phony. Bleh.
I'd like to get a new gig, too, but I just want someone to read my mind and hand me the job I want. ;)

3. I rewrite mine every year - I have to - |
|
it's good to think about everything you learned since you wrote the last one. Sometimes cover letters ( I think they still have those, right?)tell you even more as you apply your current skillset to what you want to do at the next position!

6. Ugh-cover letters are even worse. |
|
Maybe it's an insecurity thing, but I hate having to fluff up my accomplishments in a cover letter. Nothing I do at my current job is noteworthy.

7. that's why you need to write one as if things were |
|
noteworthy... I am sure much of what you do is more complex than you think. Write some practice ones, maybe? Sometimes just actually stating what you do is sufficient. It's status quo to you, but might not be to someone else.
