The characteristic I hate most in people - hypocrites

Nothing is more irritating than for someone to say one thing and then turn around and do just that thing they spoke out against.

1. I agree.

They usually fall in the catagory of religious fundamentalists.

Even progressive thinkers can show the trait from time to time. But you're right, it's more in fundies

I try my best not to be, b/c like you, I can't stand that trait in a person. It pisses me off beyond belief.

"...it's better to be a hypocrite, than to have no values at all..."

-he was 'defending' henry hyde over allegations of being a hypocrite for chastising clinton over infidelity, when henry had been a 'home-wrecker', dating a married woman(he too was married at the time, i believe) when he was younger.

and most of the time it's accidental. But sometimes it is out and out blatant hypocrisy that just makes you cringe
