1. Any and all Scientologists are fair game for ridicule and scorn |
|
based on the thousands of lives they have ruined. Anyone that tries to recruit more folks into that cult which is responsible for the deaths of numerous people (not least among them Lisa McPherson) deserves ridicule and scorn.

Or are they leaving out the electrocutions at Hemet from forcing people into unsafe electrical rooms? Maybe leaving out the suicide of Hubbards son Quentin (who was a homosexual and therefore could never be accepted by Scientology or his father)? Perhaps they're leaving out the plethora of other suicides by people who were suckered out of all their money by the cult (Noa Lottick for instance who jumped from a hotel window clutching his last few dollars in his hand to make sure they didn't go to the cult).
Maybe they're forgetting Herbert Patiff who died of a head injury while being "treated" by Scientology and going into an epileptic seizure which Scientlogists "treated" with vitamins. Or Joseph Havenith who "drowned in the bathtub" under very suspicious circumstances and whose body was cremate dand sent back to his parents in Germany before a complete investigation could be made.
Yup, they've only killed on person alright. And Bush's war only killed 1 Iraqi too.

Of course, even if it was only one, is that supposed to make it acceptable?

|
I must not be vocal enough. If I was picketing in front of their "org" or something, they'd have been trying to ruin my life or sue me into submission by now.

41. I personally would prefer that the Democratic party exclude murderers |
|
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 02:59 PM by ET Awful
and thieves who still stand by their murdering and thieving ways or who support their leaders who murder and thieve.
The goal of Scientology is to take over government, thus the teaching of Hubbard says "Someday, someone, will say this is illegal.. let's make sure that by that time we are the ones who say what is legal or not."
The goals of the Democratic party are in direct opposition to those of the Church of Scientology. We belive in gay rights, the Church of Scientology believes homosexuals are an aberration and are not worthy of auditing or even worth saving for that matter.
We believe in universal healthcare, they believe that no healthcare is necessary other than ineffective auditing.
We believe in a womans right to choose, they believe in coerced or almost forced abortions among their staff.
We believe in individual thought and expression. They believe that no thought not contained in the "tech" as written by Hubbard is acceptable, any other thought or deviation is a "crime" in their opinion.
So no, unless they are willing to renounce the "church" which bilks it's members out of millions of dollars a year and who believes that anyone who criticizes them is an enemy who can be done away with, I see no place for them in the Democratic party.
Their teachings are the antithesis of what the Democratic party stands for.

37. That's what I heard. He went on Leno after his MSNBC was cancelled |
|
and was apparantly trying to ingratiate himself with his old liberal fans; saying things like "I never really was a conservative" and stuff like that. Doesn't matter, and it won't work. Not with me anyway. He's dead to me.

|
Once Tommy baby got on board, that project was fucking ruined. It was a book I ;ike very much...and the film turned into crap when Tommy signed on the project. He was one of the worse possible choice for Lestat...apparently, they didn't ask Carrot Top, so they got the next worse choice. La Tommy had total script approval and demanded any homoerotic stuff between Lestat and Louis be excised. Anne Rice was far more charitable about it than I was.
