I have a tummy ache and my son wants me to take him swimming.
How can I get out of taking him? The pool's over at his grandparents. But I feel really bad today.

Honesty didn't work. He said, "YOU PROMISED!" (I didn't promise; I told him earlier that I'd take him later.)

Someone help me come up with a good excuse.

2. His grandparents pool has been filled with corrosive battery acid..
And if he jumps into it, his skin will burn off and he'll have to wear a Darth Vadar outfit forever. That'll do the trick.

4. Well, he knows better than that.
He went swimming there last night. For 3 hours.

5. LOL
Honestly though. If you WERE to use my completely bogus excuse, I don't see why you couldn't add something about how it was filled overnight by "The Dark Side" or something. It won't get any more unbelievable.

6. Maybe I can tell him that his grandfather just shocked the pool.
That's close to battery acid. :D
