6. Wall cloud....

Rotating winds that are a precursor of a tornado. The tops of these clouds can reach over 30,000 feet high. Not all wall clouds spawn tornadoes, but all tornadoes are spawned from wall clouds.

13. Warning. There are a lot of Kansan Dems
around DU. Admittedly, most of Kansas is red and some parts are downright backward, but there are strong pockets of blue.

9. You lucky cuss....
I've always wanted to see a tornado. I once spent 2 weeks running around tornado alley storm chasing. Nothing. And you sit in your living room.....

16. Well, the immediate danger is over but it still cycles b/t humid & cold
3 of them reported in Woodbury, Roseville, and I thought I heard Forest Lake.

Of course, when I looked outside my apartment I saw definite wall clouds.

The storm clouds passed over north a few mnutes ago bt the funky humid/cool sensation is still very much present, so I doubt it's over yet.

No time to take pics. :-(

Still, nothing did hit.

But the watch is still in effect until midnight and I can *feel* why.
