I played NIN full blast about a week ago. When I saw her outside later on that same day she asked me who I was listening to. I informed her who it was. The next day she informed me that Reznor was a treasonist, according to her "preacher" and that he was a Satanist who lured young women into preforming depraved acts (you would have loved all of the details-I had to bite my lip from laughing so hard!). Since then I have purposely played it for her full blast very early in the morning 2x in the same week(dog sh*t thing).
Of course, according to her, nearly all rock musicians are from the devil. Someday I will request the full list.

Actually, she is a sweet old lady who converted after the death of her husband. I really believe that they targeted her, knowing that she was all alone (she and her husband were not able to have children-she gave me the 4-1-1). She said that they started coming over shortly after he died. She has even told me that there are a few things that they talk about that she's not sure if she agrees with but is afraid that they might get mad if she disagrees.
Poor thing. It's really a form of emotional abuse. I occasionally stop by her house w/ some cookies or brownies and have coffee w/ her so that she can talk to someone outside of her church.
