Who is the DUer most guilty of serial monogamy? |
|
I'll fess up if you will. How many times have you been married?
(This is another reason I support giving gays the chance to participate in legal marriage. Maybe they'll be better at it than I have! :D )

One divorce.
If this one doesn't work out, he's going into the woodchipper and I'll wear lots of fab black widow's weeds.

2. I have been married only once and am still married. |
|
However, I was in a "longterm committed relationship" in my late teens and early twenties - the relationship that produced my oldest child. It turned out that I was more committed than he, and I ultimately left him. That would have been one divorce for me if we'd married.

She's currently on the prowl for husband number 12! Yes - TWELVE!
And that's of course not counting the gazillion boyfriends in between all those husbands!

7. Ok, it looks like it's me. |
|
I've been married three times. (Is anyone shocked?)
The first one was when I was 18, to get out from under my parents' roof. It lasted for ONE month.
The second was abusive and cheated. Lasted six months.
The third was very abusive (tried to kill me) and cheated multiple times. Lasted three years. I found out that I was pregnant while on the gurney in the emergency room.
I never found myself until after the third divorce. It was only then that I decided that I had to quit counting on men to provide my self-esteem. I entered college and am now finishing my PhD. More than anything, I love me now.

But it's serial polygamy with me. The one time I was married I was the first but not the only husband. 3 husbands and one wife but I was the only really legal one. Plus a live in lover-girl who didn't wanna get tied down.
It was, in fact, complicated..
Khash. (but with me it's always complicated...)

22. I am a practioner of monogamy, not serial monogamy. |
|
I've been married to the same woman for almost 20 years, and I lived with her for a year before we married.
I chased her for about 2 or 3 years before we became lovers. I'm still crazy about her. I could not imagine a life without her.
