Can I still be a college Democrat? |
|
even though it's been months since I've graduated??
Man now that I am thinking about it I really miss those times I had working the Kerry campaign (even after I graduated) with the other college Democrats in the months preceding the election.
I was thinking since my girl still has a year left of college whenever I have a day off work if it's on a weekday I could tag along and just check out the activist scene but unfortunately for me (but far more practical for the both of us) she gets to finish her last year without setting foot on campus.
Blah I'm just ranting this is one of those rare moments where I wish I could go back in time for just a couple of months and remember how cool it was to just join the fight instead of white collar hell....

I can't think of a college group that couldn't use the help. Or, you can join the local, college unaffiliated Democrats.

"College Dems", but the requirement for "Young Democrats" (not the same group) is anyone under 36 years of age
I am very familiar with those requirements, having met them many... many...years ago. lso, my wonderful amazing daughter is a super "Young Democrat" (as opposed to a "super young" Democrat - though she did play baby Jesus in a live nativity scene at church once). She is president of the YDA group at Sweetbriar College. She has attended may YD conventions and was on the platform committee at the YDA convention in Buffalo, NY (where she got mental health parity on the platform) and was at the DNC convention in Boston.
Sorry, I am a proud DAD. :woohoo:
