1. Wow for us in Arizona that's the average usually |
|
never knew it got that hot in VA plus you got the humidity to deal with....does it seem like the sun just moved next door as well (You set foot outside here in AZ without at least 1000000000 proof sunscreen within minutes you're burnt)

temps in the 90's are pretty common in the summer (even triple digits happen from time to time). But yeah, it's the humidity that is the killer here. You pretty much want to avoid this area in July & August. I was outside for not even 10 minutes today and my shirt was stuck to my back

5. Was the sky really weird tonight over there? |
|
It was here in MD...First a kind of pea-soup green color, then an orangy pink, but with none of the brilliance of a sunset.
My dog kept sniffing the air, as if there was something bad in it; and he kept following me around even when the thunder stopped rumbling.

7. Be thankful your summers are only for a couple of months |
|
I used to live in Silver Spring, probably near you. I was also stationed in Ft Belvoir back in 93-94. I do remember the summers being a few degrees warmer up there, but thankfully didn't last as long as Florida's.
Every summer, which is acutally half of spring, summer, and pretty much all of fall down here, I ask myself why the hell I don't move. I suppose being near family and a decent job keep me here!
Hope it cools down for you! But, be encouraged by the fact that you have an autumn up there.
:)
