Jackson may well be innocent of THIS charge, though it is more fair to say the prosecution FAILED to proof his guilt. I can't say if the man NEVER put his hand on some boy's penis BUT nobody has yet been able to prove that he did.

Until they can, he's as innocent as OJ and Baretta.

Why any thinking adult would let their pubescent son sleep in bed with a 46 year old rock star is beyond lunacy. These are not people noted for their moderation and self-discipline. I remember reading about Yoko Ono letting her teenaged son tour with David Bowie. Would anyone be surprised to learn of something untoward happening? Ditto letting your kid sleep with Michael.

But what the hell do I know, anyway? I didn't even know Elton John was gay until a couple of years ago. And Freddie Mercury? My kids used to mock me, telling me the fact the group's name was QUEEN should have been a hint. I just don't think of people in terms of their sexual preferences. I figure its none of my business.

4. On a serious note...

I think this is a textbook case against the death penalty. Jackson guy is guilty as sin -- even jurors who acquitted him think that he has probably molested other kids. The simple fact is that if Jackson / OJ / Blake had been middle-class schmoes, and not blessed with multi-million dollar defense teams, they would all be in jail or death row.

Being convicted and sentenced to death in America is based almost exclusively on the size of your wallet, not on your guilt or innocence.

That serious moment aside, why are Christians such assholes?
