People that choose to pipe Jazz through a phone support's hold music
need to be sent to Iraq and strapped to the outside of HMMWV's for extra armor.

1. Well, it depends on the kind of jazz...
Coltrane, Miles, etc. is OK. "Smooth jazz", I completely agree with you.

3. This is probably 'smooth jazz'
it's got the soft drumsticks, and woman crooning on and on about smiling.

4. I would extend that to any music, because they never play music I even
remotely like.

5. It was Bye Bye Blue, and is now I only have eyes for you, but
it's done in an early Disney fashion that makes me want to slam my head upon my desk until brain death ensues.

6. Jeez, I'd much rather hear jazz than some kitschy "easy Listening Muzak"
or weak attempt at "pop," "classical," "soft rock..."

I would think it would have a far more relaxing effect on the (often angry) customers...

For my part, I remember being ready to "blow" after listening to 40+ minutes of Celine Dion squawling out "Titanic," interrupted only by an endless loop of "Be Happy" by Judy Garland in an advertisement for Clinique....That poor woman who eventually came on the phone!...

7. Let me know when they finish tuning their instruments
I spent one night in a jazz club.
