I Must The The Earth's Ugliest Lawn Service.
I feel fortunate that I am able to afford a weekly lawn service to take care of my yard.
HOWEVER.....99% of the homes in my neighborhood have lawn services. I have seen the other crews and by and large, at least ONE of their dudes is attractive. I am not having some "Desperate Housewives" fantasy thing happening. I just wish that they did not look like they were castoffs from the set of "Deliverance."
Is there anyone else in this situation?

6. No thanks.
I have a lawn mover and it takes me 5 hours to mow the lawn. I have better things to do in the yard than mow the grass, like planting and maintaining my flower beds.

3. One of the guys that mows my lawn
is very cute. :D

A guy and his son do my yard every two weeks. The son is tall and lanky and has his head shaved.

I don't know why I like looking at him, but I do.

Oh, they are usually there by 7:30 AM Saturday morning.

That's a novel or something isn't it? I am my own lawn service. :P

Honestly, why have a yard if you're just going to farm it out? I consider my yard to be one big-ass toy. (As opposed to... nevermind.) But then I like to garden.

5. I would do mine
but the front is a rather large ditch and I'm afraid of tipping the riding mower over in there if I do it.

And I couldn't find someone who would just mow the ditch, so...

7. Turn it into a meadow!
Meadows are all the rage. You just let it go and call it a meadow. You can stick some flower seeds here and there, or plant a couple asters or daisies that will continue yr to yr and just let it go. Instant meadow. Make sure you mow close to your house for fire protection though.

8. I meant the part next to the road

it's about a 20ft-wide ditch.

edit: My dad used to make extra money by pulling cars out of it when it snowed or they were just driving through drunk. :-)

10. Turn the ditch into a meadow!
Any excuse to lessen the mowing. I'm in the process of adding new beds so I'll have that much less to mow!

9. I know about a company that hires part-time male models.
They all work on the same team, and help each other out when one of them gets an assignment. I had them out at a client's house, and for some reason, all of her friends had to drop by that day to pick up something they forgot, or check to see if the carpool arrangements were ok, or drop off that magazine article they had been meaning to drop off...

I think she put the word out to the neighborhood, and they all came a runnin. It was worth the trip, I assure you!
