How can I come out to my family?
Edited on Tue Jun-14-05 04:39 PM by Guy Fawkes
I don't think they'd like the idea of having a son thats... an interior designer. But several years ago, I fell in love with the game "The Sims," simply for the interior design and house building. Before that (and since), I have watched HGTV more then any normal person should.

How do I tell them? Where do I go from there?

(in case you missunderstood the question: this is more of a joke then a serious thread. I'm saying I'd like to go into interior design, and I'm wondering what I should do about it...)

2. Surprise them with a tasteful home makeover?
I love "Weekend Warriors," or as I call it, "Stupid People Remodel Their Homes."

4. I personally really enjoy Sim City 3000
I try to keep it hidden to my friends and family, but I think they suspect something

6. I'll second PFLAG, and make sure you pick your coming out person
Come out initially to the person most sympathetic to you. It doesn't hurt to have an advocate or a family member who is blase about the whole thing. My sister came out to us first (younger siblings) and the three of us decided when would be the best time/place to tell our parents. I imagine it would've been different if she had sprung it on all of us out of the blue.
