I went to a Senate Sub-Committee hearing on Social Security today just to get out of work (I'm interning with at a fisheries management place; not exactly stimulating work for this International Studies major) and observe our government in action. I noticed someone who looked awfully familiar sitting behind Senator Dodd. Ends up my mom emails me later in the day, telling me my childhood friend is interning for Dodd on the Senate Sub-Committee on Banking and Financing or something. Anyway, that was him at the hearing today. We just didn't recognize each other. Funny how those things work out!

2. My brother's best friend... |
|
...from childhood was working for UPS - he was delivering to my brother's office and heard someone mention his name. He asked someone to point him out to him and he introduced himself. They would have never recognized each other. If he hadn't heard his name they would have never reconnected.
