OK, I just opened my paycheck.
I've been at my job for nearly a year now. This week, maybe next, boss and I were supposed to sit down for a review thingy.
I was going to outline how cool I am and ask for a raise. This he knows (both how cool I am, and that some begging was on the way).
Boss has been gone a couple of days -- not so much gone, but in and out, I've been missing him, we hadn't set up a time for the review or anything, etc.
"New pay rate" says the stub.
My new pay rate? 72 cents more per hour than my old one.
...th' hell???
What do I say? Gee, thanks, if it hadn't been for the pay stub I might never have noticed?!? I mean I really, really like my job. The one problem I've ever had with it is I don't make enough. And I figured I'd start working on that.
Could this possibly be his idea of a raise?!? I did the math, it's a precise percentage raise.
I made more bumping chairs at a ski area. :eyes:

1. After Taxes...That's about $18.70 per week. |

I think anything under 15 percent of what you are making is an insult....
