If Jerry Hall can do it - why can't I? |
|
anyone want to audition for salin's kept man. Of course I don't have the rsources to really "keep" a man - but we could do auditions for a reality lounge thread...
Of course there is the real possibility that no one will respond.
But to widen the audience - other DU ladies might be interested in a) the intervires; as well as the "selection"...
Okay - realy this is due to flipping channels and running across this really absurd reality show...

2. No bugs or worms - I am rathered disturbed |

by the "fear factor" ... so this reality thread will veer away from those activities.

4. The show is doing formal dining and manners |
|
I think perhaps instead we should consider a task about selecting a "unique and quality" cheap place to eat...

6. You may win on two counts... |
|
a) superb performance on the tasks as thus described and b) lack of competition ;-)

And while I seriously doubt that I make you "smarter" per the conversations - you response to that sense is welcomed.
Funny it didn't hit me, or effect me until my college five year college reunion ... that developing my mind might be a hindrance to some dating relationships. Til an old college freind and flirting buddy and I hung out for an hour or so during the reunion... talking politics - when he finaly said "I could never date someone like you.. (mind you he tried a bit while we were in college) ... because when I get home at night, I don't want to think... and you make me think..." Only got worse when I headed to a rather "elite" grad school. Then moved back to Indiana... rather makes it likely that I will be single for quite some time. *sigh*
In some areas - a well educated woman - who likes to engage in conversations that use the mind - isn't quite so.. valued. Didn't realize that as I grew into who I am... but then here I am...
Perhaps that should be a question for the reality thread (but since it is just you and I - you have already passed that task.)

Why wouldn't anyone want to date someone who made them a better person? I don't get it.

17. First time I heard it, it threw me |
|
but by now... I realize that attitude is not uncommon.
Thankfully - it isn't universal and when not in the throes of things like starting up an organization - I can get dates. Though - due to the whole startup thing - it has been a long time...
