1. Delaware = a splinter up Pennsylvania's ass
The most unnecessary state in the union.

5. I think the no sales tax thing is fine
I think it would be best economically speaking to have no or a low sales tax and to have higher income taxes, I think it would be a more progressive system to be fair.

7. I agree
I just couldn't think of anything else to say about Delaware.

I also failed to notice someone else had already picked on Delaware.

12. I was about to say
Speaking from a political perspective though, I think it would be great if democratic politicans used the support of a national sales tax against republican politicans.

9. Naw, not really
I mean, sales tax only comes into effect on non-necessities right?

10. They tax groceries here in Tennessee.
I couldn't believe it when I first moved here. What a ridiculously regressive tax. The sales tax here pretty much covers everything, including necessities.

11. Nope on everything in Virginia
So it includes food, clothing, etc. I really think that Democratic Politicans should be making something politically out of some republican politican support for a high national sales tax of about 16%.

17. I know Pennsylvania doesn't tax on clothing
At least that was the case a few years ago when I worked in PA, but lived in Maryland near the border. It does vary from state to state.

20. Only thing I've ever paid sales tax on here in Delaware...
was when I bought my car and then that was only 2.25%.
