sometimes having feelings really really sucks
It'd be nice to be able to just flick the switch and turn them off. Better than drowning them or smoking them out. Oh well, life goes on. I should give up on dating. Oh, and hi lounge friends :-) Been in GD and GD-P.

3. thanks so much OLL.
oh it's someone I work with (long story, I know I goofed). I didn't even know you were a woman until recently. I LOVE that animated gif of the cat, by the way. I always laugh when I see it and my son loves it too. Can you tell me where you found it ?

14. OldLeftie transcends gender, child,
so don't you fret. In cyberspace, there are no genitalia.

Anyway, yeah, that cat always breaks me up. A friend in the UK made a bunch of things like that for me a few years ago. Feel free to right-click it and make it your own.

I got others ..........

2. Stay out of GD...
The Surgeon General warns it can be bad for your health.

4. Yes, give up on dating.
Just meet people you share interests with and see if anything develops from that... dating always leads to disaster (at least in my experience).

8. consider not avoiding women
but far better to avoid high strung bimbos.

I'll make a pack with you okay? You avoid bimbos and I'll try my very best to avoid bozos.

Perhaps we can compare notes. . .

Hang in there and do be mindful of the fact that half of the population can't be all bad.

:hi:

10. ok, deal is on.
I think women, in general, are great. Sometimes I feel I have a lot in common with Job in the Bible. Locusts and such, you know ? Just hope God rewards me too one day. If not, I'm gonna be pissed LOL

16. Oh, dear
Have you considered prison?

You won't run into any women there.

Hey, we've all had dalliances/romances/relationships/marriages/attempted murders go south. These things happen.

Shrug 'em off, and move on. Life's way too tragic ever to be taken seriously.

You know how much worse your life could be right now? Huh? Do ya?

You could be a squirrel:

Honestly - taking dating seriously leads to issues.

Live a dating life with no expectations

11. I'm working on that.
It's so hard not to get hopes up when they're "my type". Just a disappointing stretch of time, it'll get better. Always does.

7. Hey, Steve...Welcome back! I was just thinking about you this AM, and
wondering when you'd be putting in a return appearance! I'm sorry to hear your love life sucks...No drowning or smoking allowed, now, you hear me??? You are way too important to your son and the rest of us to be destroying yourself that way.

:loveya:

18. Awwww...thanks, Steve...
Glad I can make you smile! Life is good! I LOVE being retired...I'm spending waaaaay too much time in here becoming a Lounge lizard. And next week, if all goes well and we get our passports and Libyan visas back shortly, my husband and I will embark on a big trip into the eastern part of the Mediterranean for about 3 weeks.

:woohoo:

17. Steve, it wasn't until I decided that I didn't need a man to make me happy
that WHAM POW KABLAAM I met my husband (I told him for six months that I didn't need him in order to be happy and he kept agreeing with me and asking me to marry him). Yes, he wore me down and I relented.

Nine years later I still believe that it was the time I took to be happy with myself that brought me to meet someone who didn't need to make me happy.

Good luck to you
