European hair might get $35 per ounce, while Russian hair w/ highlights can fetch $250 per ounce.

5. My wife tried to sell her hair

when she got it cut short. She was told that it was essentially worthless, because wig makers want "Asian" hair. Apparently Asian hair is easier for them to style and work with. Why, I don't know.
