Resolve to spend 10 minutes, right now, working on it.
The first 10 minutes is always the most difficult. Once you get started, you will tend to continue.
I do this with exercise. I sit in my chair dreading my workout. I tell myself that I'll work out for 10 minutes and stop if I want. I never stop for at least 30 minutes.
The odious or overwhelming task is never as bad as you imagine.
