So, I got a PM that I thought... hum.... to....
It was totally well written. No sarcasm or hate. But apparently, there have been "a number of complaints"about the size of my sig line.

No one ever told me it was too big. SO, instead of dropping me a PM or letting me know in a post, they have instead bothered a mod. And a number? That's strange.

Personally, I only hit alert when I come across an obvious freeper or a post that is beyond the pale in hatefullness.

I feel like I just got told on to the teacher. Am I nuts? Are we suppose to go to mods for everything... even before we try to handle it ourselves?

Seriouslly, I dunno!

3. I've seen sig lines much crazier than yours
I don't see why anyone should complain.

4. It's probably one of the larger ones, BUT
honestly, if people don't like it, they can choose to not see sigs.

13. However, it is all or nothing. I like some sigs, but I admit that
I actually have someone on ignore because their sig line is totally obnoxious to me.

5. If folks are on dial up and are bothered by sig lines
they should turn them off in their preferences. That is what I do when I am on dial up.

Your sig line looks fine to me. :hi:

7. I think it's wiser to take it to the mods.
A person might object to your sigline for some reason, but it's really up to the moderators as to whether it consitutes sufficient reason to address it.

And having a moderator ask you to revise your sigline doesn't mean you're in any kind of trouble, nor even that someone has 'tattled' on you. It just means some person or persons unknown have felt it might be too ...whatever...and asked the moderators to evaluate it for their input.

sometimes hard to take. :hi:

8. I'm with you, Kerrytravelers...I like your sig line a lot...
I think that people should have what they want in their sig lines; I do. I feel your hurt, BTW...and I'm sorry you are. I wonder who on earth complained about it. It looks cowardly to me, going to the mods about something like this. We should be able to discuss these things among ourselves without rancor.

Hang in there...we all care about you! :pals:

9. Thanks guys!
I had a pic of shrub in a hat and an Iraq checklist with "reason" at the bottom. I removed those.

I'm real laid back and don't get my feathers ruffled too easily. If I piss someone off, I want them to tell me, that's all.

Thanks guys! I so dig the lounge!

14. I got a PM once, too, from a mod.
It was during the Clark/Dean wars.
