Surprise, Fwee Wepubwik in Denial over Schiavo Autopsy Results!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To: lilylangtree
The report HAD to show that Michael Schiavo was right in what he did. It was a foregone conclusion. Too many politicos were involved. Michael Schiavo MURDERED his wife with the justice system, plain and simple.

You know you make a very valid point there. What if the autopsy report showed unequivocably that Michael had beaten his wife into a coma. How would the supreme court look to have turned away and allowed her husband to finish her off? The autopsy HAD to be on his side. Whether it was true or not.

11. Does this mean that Elmer Fudd is a "Fwee Wepubwikan"??
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 08:02 PM by Radio_Lady

Elmer Fudd is a short, bald-headed, game hunting little gentleman with a speech impediment. He tries to be tough, but his speech pwowbwem and his relatively low intelligence makes him only minor threat to those who cross him. Elmer Fudd can generally be seen hunting Bugs Bunny, as he did in his first formative appearance hunting an early Bugs in Chuck Jones' "Elmer's Candid Camera"(1940.) To credit Jones exclusively for his creation, however, is a bit inaccurate. Elmer Fudd evolved from a Tex Avery character called Egghead, a bizarre little man with an egg-shaped head and red nose who wore a derby hat and high-collared green coat, much like the formative Elmer Fudd. The name originated in 1938's "A Feud There Was", in which Egghead serves as a peacemaker to a group of feuding hillbillies, and his motor scooter identifies him as "Elmer Fudd: Peacemaker." Much credit can also be given to Arthur Q. Bryan, the radio actor who voiced Fudd from 1940 until his death in 1958. Before Bryan signed on, the Egghead/Elmer character was given a voice that varied from film to film, either pretty generic or, most memorably, a caricature of comedian Joe Penner. Chuck Jones put it all together in "Candid Camera", and Tex Avery defined it forever in "A Wild Hare", also from 1940. From then on, Elmer Fudd was usually paired with Bugs Bunny, although he made solo appearances over the years and was also paired with Daffy Duck, Sylvester, the Goofy Gophers, and others. His most popular catch phrase, "Be vewwy, vewwy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits!" has become a household saying.

Mix of opinions. Sounds like some freeps are convinced by the report, others are determined to be unconvinced no matter what.

6. Wow. And they think WE are the conspiracy theorists.
Now the entire justice system - right up to the Supreme Court - is involved in a massive cover-up and fraudulent autopsy report? Please. :eyes:

24. Yep, and all involved to save the reputation of one inconsequential
guy who isn't very important at all in the scheme of things.

Yep, this conspiracy has been brewing since Watergate, fully 20 years before Terry even went into a coma.

14. What is it with RW nutjobs and dogs?
Why do they pathetically attempt to make their case by dragging in Rover?

"If you treated a dog this way, blah, blah, blah..."

"If the gays marry, then people will marry their dogs, blah, blah, frickety blah..."

As anywhere, it was refreshing to see sanity in the midst of the cracked. But I'm not discounting the possibility that those bright spots of reason may be disruptors.

17. They sound very ignorant. For one she didn't "feel" anything including
hunger or thirst. We all dehydrate as we die. It is not painful. It is a peaceful way to die. The dying body doesn't crave fluids. Nor was stopping her feeding painful. She didn't feel that she didn't have the brain function to feel anything. People who quit taking in food and fluids at the end of life are responding to their bodies message to stop taking them in. IV fluids at that time overload the heart and cause pulmonary edema. Then they can't breath and die anyway. Tube feedings at that time cause vomiting and aspiration causing them to drown and they can't breath and die anyway. Obviously they don't spend any time with dying people. The statement that Hospice is assisting suicide is slanderous. A part of me hopes that when their time comes someone withholds comfort meds like morphine because they don't want to risk speeding up their death by oh an hour or so which is spent then in terrible pain. We die of end stage disease processes. We aren't meant to live forever. Funny that these God loving people will do anything to prevent meeting him/her. Good God how can such stupidity exist. Oh wait..they still believe Bush is a Christian and doesn't lie and all those Iraqi's were ok to kill. Guess for your life to matter you have to be brain dead beyond hope.

sayeth kikiek:
"Guess for your life to matter you have to be brain dead beyond hope."

Yes, your life only matters if you are brain-dead, or a fetus!

Seriously though, haven't they figured out that many families are faced with the decisions and struggles similar to the Schiavo/Schindler folks? Why haven't they butted into other families' lives, rather than continuing to villify poor Michael Schiavo?

28. Yes..
I am a home hospice nurse. I get pretty riled up about the right to die with dignity and without pain. Funny thing is they don't care about all our elderly people in the nursing home existing without proper attention or care, but 1 woman can stand them on their head.

19. The people at Freak Republic are in denial about a lot of things
There's nothing new about that

It was interesting to note that the autopsy showed that Shiavo was blind. It really casts doubt on the people who claimed she responded to visual stimuli.

23. The right wing is full of amateur doctors, creation scientists, and
other no-nothings.

For some reason, ignorance is a virtue among these deluded folks.

No matter what the cause, they always seem to trot out some screwball to deny the facts.

Every day they remind me of the National Socialists' take on medicine, science, the arts, etc.

They are inherently lazy, and lack any sense of curiosity.

Give them a little time, and they will be labeling the sciences as "Jewish" science, or "Left-wing" science, or "Humanist" medicine, etc.

Unfortunately, the current administration has a great fascination with this regressive and dangerous bunk.
