3 Former Students Sue Hooters Airlines, Say It Was Their Idea
<snip>

CHICAGO -- Three former Southern Illinois University students aren't very high on Hooters Air.

They're suing the airline that features the scantly clad "Hooters Girls" as flight attendants.

The students claim they developed a business plan for Hooters Air as a class project in 1997, before the airline ever got off the ground. They say Hooters adopted the plan but never paid them.

The lawsuit was filed in a Chicago court Wednesday.

Hooters of America vice president Mike McNeal called the lawsuit factually inaccurate and said it's nothing more than a publicity stunt.

1. It's Really Not That Clever An Idea
Big deal. They put together a biz plan for an MBA project with absolutely no capital to accomplish it, then someone at Hooters HQ comes up with the same idea.

It's not exactly an idea like Einstein flashing on relativity. It's a simple and obvious idea. The fact that someone at Hooters HQ thought of it too, is so probable as to be certain.

These guys have nothing, and they know it.

6. I remember "soul plane"
that was real, right?

I'm young enough to have missed the glory days of travel, but my dad was a road warrior in the late 60's through the 70's, and the whole point of stewardesses was sex appeal.

now they've toned it down some, damn feminists! (I kid, I kid) who can get worked up in one of those seats, jammed in next to a large man and the window, eating dollar bags of peanuts?

13. I do miss the good old days

. . .their start-up has exceeded expectations and they are expecting even better results in their 3rd and 4th quarters! I think i read that last week, but might have been the week before that.
