I think dates should be more like job interviews |
|
First you send an application to whoever you'd like to date and if he/she likes what they see you'll be invited for a "date". You come in with your best looking outfit, trying to make a solid first impression. You answer questions your date will ask, some might be a little tricky. Your date will go over qualifacations, skills, your relationship history, etc. Some dates may require a criminal background check and/or a drug test. This should narrow the playing field somewhat, I find it more effective then simply going for a date which is something I never do. I'll hang out with someone but dates always seem a bit awkward.

1. But, but, but ............ |

......... dates ARE job interviews.
Think about it.
You both have specific reasons for meeting.
You both want something that the other person might or might not have.
You both want something that the other person might or might not want to give you.
You're both on your best behavior.
You meet in an artificially-set-up situation.
You're both nervous.
You both have hope - to one degree or another - that this is just the start of something wonderful.

I just think they should cut to the chase and get everything out of the way. :)
